Coolio. Sign me up! I love me my local guild, and I'm also thirsty for a guild where I'm not the among the youngest at 48. The next big booming wave in weaving culture is coming, it's cresting, it's here to ride -- glad to find you out here surfing the web.
There are many weaving guilds that are local or national or international...however, what about a Global Weavers Guild, that is all done via the web. Is there one out there? If there isn't, perhaps there should be.
There is a vast amount of handweavers on the web, but is there any way to get us organized? There are many "Buy Handmade" selling venue sites online that weavers use to sell their wares, I mean the internet is a viable source for everything...am I right?
Welcome to WEAVEmeet!
A web based guild, with members that sell their handwoven wares on the internet (no matter what venue is used i.e. Etsy, ArtFire, 1000Markets, Housewarps, DaWanda, etc.)
WEAVEmeet is also for weavers who use the internet to promote the weaving craft, as well as, any weavers who would like to be part of the online handwoven community.
So...let's build the presence of handweavers on the web. Let's educate the young generation, and show them how fun it is to weave. Let's get the word out "Buy our Handwoven Goods!"
